Gesner Oliveira
President of Sabesp and Professor at EAESP/FGV

In the public sector, Gesner Oliveira was President of the Administrative Council of Economic Defense (CADE), Secretary for Economic Monitoring in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Adviser of FAPESP. In private enterprise he served as consultant and partner-director of Trends Consulting Integrated, President of the Tendency of Law and Economics, and researcher and Economic coordinator of CEBRAP. He is currently President of SABESP, Professor at EAESP / FGV, Columnist of the "Folha de Sao Paulo" and consultant of economic scenarios.

He is a board member of the Consumer Unity & Trust Society, Jaipur-India and the competency Foro of Argentina. In addition he is in the ABIQUIM National Advisory Board and the Management Board of CIEE.

He published several books on economics and competition. Bachelor in Economics and Management at USP, Master in Economics at the Institute of Economics UNICAMP and Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.

He also served as Visiting Professor at the Center for Brazilian Studies at the University of Columbia (USA) and Professor-Lecturer of the International Economics at the Department of Economics at the University of California (Berkeley).


Guilherme Ary Plonski  
Professor at FEA/USP and POLI/USP

President of ANPROTEC - National Association of Promotional Entities of Innovative Enterprises.

From 2001 to 2006, Guilherme was diretor of IPT - Institute of Technological Research and between 1994 and 2001 was coordinator of  CECAE - Coordinate of University Corporations.

Currently he is professor of FEA-USP and associated  professor of POLI-USP, responsible for “Management of the technology”. Member of the CIENTEC - Company Graduated for the CENTEV/UFV who works wich software consulting and developing, member and ex-president of Foundation of Support to the Institute of Technological Research and member of the CNPq - National Advice of Development scientific and Technological.

He is an chemical engineer and math bachelor from USP, master and doctor in engineer form the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo, PhD in science politics and PhD in technologies form  Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute - RPI (Troy, NY - EUA) .


Patrice Nogueira Baptista Etlin
Partner at Advent International - São Paulo/Brazil

Patrice Etlin joined Advent in 1997 and started the firm's investment activities in Brazil. He has 12 years of private equity experience.

From 1994 to 1997, Patrice was a partner at International Venture Partners in São Paulo, where he was responsible for the overall operation of a media and communications fund focused on Brazil. Previously, he spent five years with Matra Marconi Space, initially as a systems engineer on a project to develop a European military observation satellite. In 1990, he was promoted to General Representative for Brazil, in charge of setting up a private telecommunications satellite system providing services to Mercosul countries.

Patrice has led or co-led Advent's investments in seven companies, including Atrium Telecomunicações Ltda., Microsiga Software S.A. and Proservvi Banco de Serviços S.A.

He received an undergraduate degree in electronic engineering from the University of São Paulo, a master's degree in industrial engineering from Ecole Centrale de Paris and an MBA from INSEAD.
